Logic is the art of going wrong with confidence
i think that just because it logical it is true. i mean you can manipulate anything you think into being logical if your confident enought with your answer. like if im set on beliving that all apples are red because ive never seen a green apple doesnt mean im wrong and i have both truth and validity to it. you have to think the anwser is true to give it logic

I think logic needs a little more than one person thinking that something is true to make it valid. Logic should be based on agreeable premises and statements. Just because you think something is true doesnt mean you are being logical because you know dont know better.
ReplyDeleteYou can't really make something seem logical just by being confident. you need to be able to provide some reasoning behind your confidence also.

ReplyDeleteI agree with Garbury, you cant just assume everything you think is logical. Logic only makes a strong argument if you use the premises and statements correctly.
ReplyDeleteI think there is more to logic than you simply believing it is true. Logic must be based on premises that have been proven true. This means that you would need to logically prove that there are no such things as green apples before you could use it as your premise. If you aren't using truthfull premises then you are not using good logic. Simply being confident in your logic doesnt make it true.
ReplyDeleteIF you dont know its true it doesnt exsist until you do know. Until you hit THAT point. If you believe that all apples are red just because youve never seen a green apple. I think it means your right because it applies to you and what you know. Not nessecarily to everyone elses logic. Logic can be different from person to person.
