Creation Story

I think this creation story can be just as true as the one we found in genesis. I think that everyone has their own beliefs about what happened in the beginning of time and who created the world so this story is just as valid as the next.
I don't know exactly what I believe happened in the beginning of time. I think after I hear about different cultures and their beliefs I might be able to form my own opinion. I always just assumed it was the Adam and Eve story because that is what I was taught but now I'm definitely starting to rethink it.

  1. I agree that since different cultures have different perspectives on why they think a particular creation story is the right one, so depending on how your culture sees it all creation stories are valid. Depending on cultural beliefs, any creation story could be true.

  2. I agree that ," everyone has their own beliefs." This is why everyone has different point of view. Another person must of had a different thought of how humans came into earth if there is two storys about the same topic.(Navajo and the Book of Genesis)

  3. You all are sort of ignoring the question. I know other people have differing points of view, but I want to know your point of view. The two myths are NOT the same, they suggest different things. Which version do you lean towards?

Consider them this way: one story says evil has been part of our nature since nearly the beginning (and explains how it all started), the other says evil and disorder comes and goes w/ different generations (certain generations literally climb out of the hole they're stuck in, but then evil creeps back into life). Which is truer? Sure the details of the story might seem a little "out there," but they're still trying to get at something fundamental that we can all have an opinion on. Your answer will reveal something about your fundamental beliefs in human nature.
